History of Our Community

Knolls was vast open space. Beyond Ushers Road heading north, lushly wooded
countryside, punctuated by rolling knolls and occasional small streams dominated

farming. The Adirondack Northway had been open up to Exit 9 since December 1959;
it was not opened up to Exit 10 until November 1961.

President's Message
- Glenn Valle, Pres.
On behalf of the Country Knolls Civic
Association, I would like to welcome you to our website. Whether you are a
long-time resident of Country Knolls or a prospective one, I believe that you
will find the site informative and interesting.
Country Knolls is a wonderful community in
which to live, and the Civic Association is proud to play a role. Whether it is
sponsoring events like the Halloween parade, landscaping and maintaining our
entranceways, or representing our community’s interests before local government,
the Civic Association, through its volunteers and members, continually strives
to maintain and improve our quality of life in Country Knolls.
Country Knolls can continue to thrive only
with the efforts of its residents, so please take a moment to join the
Association and, if possible, volunteer your time. The ample dividends of your
efforts will be returned to all of us.
Enjoy the website!
Glenn Valle - President
